Anticipation
As various dioceses have announced their plan to return to public Mass, I know we are all anticipating the great day when public Mass will resume in our diocese. It will be a glorious day to have everyone back singing God’s praises together in His House!
As soon as the plan is announced, I will publish it here on our website. In the meantime, the church remains open from 9am – 8pm for private prayer. Also, at 7pm every evening we have Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament for an hour of Adoration for you to come to. I would like to encourage you to come and be with our Blessed Lord, consoling Him with your presence for all the offenses done to Him, pray for an end to the pandemic, and to beg Him for people to return to Him. During the Holy Hour, we pray the Holy Rosary as well as the Divine Mercy Chaplet. We also have a time of silent prayer before Him where you can speak to Him in the silence of your hearts.
I believe it was St. Alphonsus who said that the greatest consolation in Heaven will be knowing the hours you spent before our Blessed Lord in Adoration while on Earth. We can receive that consolation now while we wait in great anticipation for public Mass to resume.
